Gold Snaps Record Rally, Falls to ₹1.35 Lakh per 10g

Gold prices in Delhi fell by ₹1,700 to ₹1,35,900 per 10 grams on Tuesday, ending a four-day record-breaking rally, according to the All India Sarafa Association. The dip followed profit-booking by investors amid weak global cues.

The precious metal had hit an all-time high of ₹1,37,600 per 10g just a day earlier, after gaining ₹6,000 over four consecutive sessions.

Key Factors:

· Global Correction: Spot gold in international markets declined by 0.65% to USD 4,277.42 per ounce, snapping a five-day rally.

· Rupee Support: The fall in domestic prices was cushioned by a weak Indian rupee, trading near record lows.

· Silver Also Down: Silver prices dropped by ₹1,000 to ₹1,98,500 per kg after reaching an all-time high in the previous session.

· Market Caution: Analysts attribute the pullback to caution ahead of key U.S. economic data, which may influence the Federal Reserve’s interest rate outlook.

While physical jewellery demand may soften during the ongoing inauspicious period, investment demand is expected to stay strong amid risk-averse sentiment.

J&K Police seize vehicles not transferred after sale–purchase in Shopian

November 30: In a district-wide enforcement drive, J&K Police in Shopian have seized a significant number of vehicles found plying on roads without mandatory ownership transfer after sale–purchase.

On the directions of SSP Shopian, dedicated teams were deployed across multiple locations to identify such vehicles. During the drive, numerous vehicles operating without proper transfer of ownership were seized, and legal action was initiated under the relevant provisions of the Motor Vehicles Act.

J&K Police advises all vehicle owners to ensure timely transfer of ownership after any sale–purchase transaction. Failure to do so will invite strict legal action, as similar enforcement drives will continue in the coming days. J&K Police remains committed to promoting road safety, accountability, and adherence to traffic laws across the district.```

J&K Police recovers stolen vehicle; Accused arrested in Leh

*November 30:* ```Continuing its efforts to combat crime and ensure public safety, J&K Police in Baramulla recovers stolen vehicle and arrested the accused involved in the commission of crime.

The vehicle, (Tavera) (bearing Registration No. JK04C-1343), was reported stolen during the intervening night of 14th and 15th September 2024. Accordingly, Police Station Kunzer promptly registered FIR No. 119/2024 under Section 303(2) BNS, and sustained efforts were made to trace the vehicle.

Acting on specific information, it was learnt that the stolen vehicle was being used in Leh, UT Ladakh. A police team from Police Station Kunzer was immediately deputed to Leh. With the cooperation of Police Station Leh, the team located the vehicle along with the accused person, identified as Kanchu Sheikh S/o Minhaj-ud-Din, R/o Gopal Para, Sector-19, Assam, who was driving the stolen vehicle. The vehicle was discreetly tracked and recovered, and the accused was apprehended on the spot. Both the vehicle and the accused have been brought back to Police Station Kunzer for further legal action. 

Further investigation is in progress to identify and establish the entire chain of individuals involved in the commission of the crime.

NC Big Decisions taken in working committee

The Working Committee of the Party, which convened on 27th and 28th November 2025, unanimously passed the following resolutions:

Resolution 1: Reaffirmation of Commitment to Special Status.

The Working Committee unanimously reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to the restoration of Jammu and Kashmir’s special status. The Committee reiterated that this issue is central to the aspirations and dignity of the people and must be addressed without further delay. The party will continue its principled fight for its full restoration.

Resolution 2: Demand for Immediate Restoration of Statehood.

The Working Committee urged the Government of India to immediately restore full statehood to Jammu and Kashmir, as promised on the floor of Parliament, repeatedly affirmed in the public domain, and noted by the Constitution Bench of the Supreme Court.

Resolution 3: Condemnation of the Delhi terror Attack.

The Working Committee expressed serious concern and unequivocally condemned the terror attack in Delhi. It extended heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives. In a civilised society, violence has no place, and such heinous acts must be dealt with firmly and decisively.

Resolution 4: Nowgam Blast.

The Working Committee also expressed deep concern over the Nowgam blast and conveyed its condolences to the affected families. The Committee stated that the incident must be investigated at the highest level and responsibility fixed for any deviation from standard operating procedure. 

Resolution 5: Protection and Safety of People of J&K Across India.

The Working Committee expressed serious concern over the reports of harassment faced by students, traders, and residents of Jammu and Kashmir in different parts of the country. It strongly condemned their selective targeting in the aftermath of recent events. The Committee emphasized that the people of Jammu and Kashmir cannot be stereotyped, and called upon all state governments to ensure the safety, dignity, and protection of the lives and property of Kashmiris and other residents of Jammu and Kashmir living or working across India. Not every Kashmiri is a terrorist or a supporter of terror. 

Resolution 6: Commitment to Manifesto Promises.

The Working Committee reiterated the party’s unwavering commitment to fulfilling all promises made in its manifesto.

Resolution 7: Support to the Government Led by Omar Abdullah.

The Working Committee unanimously reaffirmed its full support to the government led by Omar Abdullah and urged it to continue fulfilling the aspirations of the people and upholding their dignity.

 Police Attaches Property of Notorious Drug Peddler in Srinagar

November 28: In a major action against the illegal narcotics trade, Police in Srinagar attached a double-storey residential house along with 4 marlas of land, valued at approximately ₹75 lakhs, under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

The property is located in Usmania Colony, Badamwari, Lal Bazar, and stands in the name of Arshid Ahmed Sheikh, son of Wali Mohammad Sheikh, resident of the same locality. The accused is a habitual drug peddler and is involved in FIR No. 50/2025 under sections 8 and 20 NDPS Act at Police Station Lal Bazar and FIR No. 31/2025 under sections 8/21/22 NDPS Act at Police Station Janipur, Jammu.

During the investigation, it was established that the asset had been acquired through proceeds generated from drug trafficking. Accordingly, the competent authority issued orders for attachment under section 68-F of the NDPS Act.

The attachment was executed in the presence of the Executive Magistrate 1st Class, Khanyar, and two independent witnesses, ensuring full compliance with legal formalities. As per the order, the owner is now prohibited from selling, transferring, altering, or creating any third-party interest in the said property.

Police remains committed to intensifying its crackdown on drug peddlers and dismantling their financial and operational networks to safeguard society from the growing drug menace.
